I recently upgraded from a 1660 super to a Asus 7800 XT.
My hardware:
Asus dual 7800 xt oc
intel 12500 cpu
gigabyte z690 gaming ddr4 board
16 GB ram
2 TB m2 drive
Oculus rift-s
I'm happy with it except VR performance.
I get terrible judder / double image every few minutes. I can get it in any game or even in the oculus app.
It seems I can trigger it when moving my head(set) a lot.
I had it with GPU usage @ 20% and also 100%..
Cpu usage is always low / not maxed out.
Ram usage is never maxed out.
FPSVR shows me a lot of dropped frames and when judder happens the GPU frametime show me minus -4 to -40ms
When I don't experience judder I also see red spikes in the GPU frametime.
I did some research and thought that the VR problems were solved with driver updates.
What I did:
Removed the Nvidia drivers with DDU
disabled asw with the oculus tool
disabled hardware acceleration
I first used the latest drivers 24.5.1, then tried 24.3.1
Re-installed oculus software.
Are there more tips I can try?
