I have an Asus TUFgaming FX505-DV laptop. Ever since I got the laptop i've had random freezing issues. The laptop would randomly freeze, no matter what i'm doing at the time. I wouldn't be able to do anything. I would have to force shut down and restart. The random freezes seemed to happen more frequently if the laptop is on high performance mode. And less frequently if it's on power saving mode. I sent it to get repaired twice but Asus would just format it and say they couldn't find an issue.
Last time i got it back i was trying some stuff and the problem got fixed magically. But after a couple weeks i noticed that i can't update drivers on Amd radeon software like i used to. It's just not an option on the app. I went and downloaded the app again from Asus' website. Before i installed it i thought this software might be the cause of my freezing problem before so i created a restore point (thank god). Surprise surprise the freezing came back within 5 minutes of installing it. I went back to my restore point and that fixed the issue, no more freezes. But now I have to use an old version of the software and i can't update the drivers for my cpu nor my integrated gpu. I'm getting really low fps in games and the laptop overheats like crazy even on games like Cs:go. And i suspect it's happening because of old drivers.
