Update on Anti-Lag+ Issue in AMD Drivers - When Can We Expect a Resolution?

Hello AMD Community,

I wanted to bring up a topic that's been of concern to many Counter-Strike 2 players, including myself. It's related to the Anti-Lag+ feature in AMD drivers, and the recent VAC bans that have affected numerous players due to its interaction with the game.

We've seen an official acknowledgment of the issue from both AMD and Valve on their Twitter accounts. Valve has stated that they will work with AMD to address the problem and unban affected players as soon as possible. You can check out the tweet here: https://twitter.com/CounterStrike/status/1712875606776729832

This is a positive step in the right direction, and it gives us hope that the issue will be resolved. However, many of us who were falsely VAC-banned are eagerly waiting for an AMD driver update that will rectify this problem. It's been a frustrating experience, and we're looking for clarity on when we can expect this update.

So, my question to the AMD community and any AMD representatives who might be listening is:

Can we get an update on when we can expect a driver update that will resolve the Anti-Lag+ issue and allow Valve to unban players as mentioned in their official Twitter post?

This question would be better asked on CS/Valve's forum as AMD does not control the banning and unbanning.

From twitter, I don't agree that they need to wait for an update from AMD, "Once AMD ships an update we can do the work of identifying affected users and reversing their ban" Also, AMD did not tamper with CS code, they are probably deflecting blame to AMD. AMD probably wrote the anti-lag to handle more in the driver, and CS code expected more returns to their code, and the anti-cheat stuff trigger when the count wasn't 1-1.

Let's raise our voices and express our unhappiness as customers. It's important to let both Steam and AMD Support know about our concerns and the impact this issue has had on our gaming experience.

Steam Support:

You can contact Steam Support directly through Steam. Simply go to the "Help" section in the Steam client, and from there, you can find a link to "Steam Support." This will allow you to submit a support ticket with your issue. Remember to provide all relevant details about your situation.

Steam will only tell you the following: XsmCu5r

AMD just release update where its removed, we get unbans, then you can continue doing whatever you are doing right now

Already contacted AMD over that support
no response
already slower than Valve
