Update Broke 2nd Monitor and Various Apps, Clean Install
Good Morning,
Just purchased a 7800XT a week ago, all was working well for a week.
So, I'm not sure whether it was a windows update or driver update, but last night I updated windows and my AMD Drivers then rebooted my PC.
When the PC started up again, my 2nd monitor was not working anymore.
I also noticed my audio devices were no longer detected.
I then tried to open my browser (Brave) to google the issue, but my browser was not working, which I reinstalled.
I then tried various other apps, like photo's, Notepad, Email (outlook), and none of them worked.
I tried rolling back drivers and even a system restore to a restore point from the previous day, nothing worked.
I have now formatted my machine and installed a fresh copy of windows 11.
When installing the AMD Adrenalin software, it appears the PC crashes, and when it boots up again, I get multiple errors about .dll's that are not made for windows.
My second screen still no longer works, and I have various errors that pop up on boot about .dlls.
I've seen a few posts regarding the same issue where some of the people reverted back to older GPU's from other brands as a temporary fix.

Small update, did some testing after installing Windows 10:
Bear with me here, I'll refer to the 4 ports on the GPU as:
1. HDMI
If I boot the PC up with one screen plugged into the various ports, I get:
1. Picture
Then if I plug the other screen into the HDMI while the PC is running, I get a 2nd image.
Then if I plug the other screen into any of the DP ports while the PC is running, I do not get a 2nd picture.
If I then move that cable to the other DP ports, I get no picture at all, even when returning to the working port (3).
