Tried installing legacy driver, now graphics card not recognised

I'm running Windows 10 64 on my PC with a an AMD Radeon 7800 series video card. Some of my games crashed with updated video drivers so in the past I installed an older driver without a problem. I recently found it had updated, possibly from some auto update and so I tried installing an older driver from the Radeon site (Radeon Crimson 16.9.2) but it wouldn't install.

I ran the AMD Cleanup Utility which removed all AMD applications and drivers and installed the legacy driver but now under device manager it only shows Microsoft Basic Display Adaptor.

How do I get the system to recognise the video card?

Thanks for any advice!

Assuming this is a desktop computer and not a laptop, these are the latest drivers > Desktop

There are several steps you can take to prevent/delay Microsoft from automatically changing/installing drivers..read here > Clean Install AMD Graphics Drivers
