Hi,

Trying to install storemi v2 on x470 (ASUS x470 prime pro) motherboard with 2700x but got this error. Had storemi 1 before, but uninstalled it from apps manually. No entier service is running and have not used storemi for over a year. That is, none of my current drives are tiered.

That means the StoreMI 1.x AHCI driver is still installed. You want to switch it to the Microsoft driver.

Open Device Manager, double-click Storage controllers, right-click "AMD Virtualized AHCI Controller," and choose Update driver. Click "Browse my computer for driver software", then click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer." Double-click "Standard SATA AHCI Controller."
