Have a red X over my speaker icon. Speaker setup (UNKNOWN)
Win10 troubleshooter claims nothing is connected, but my speakers definitely are and they work perfectly on other devices.
Have searched several threads about this issue and done numerous "fixes" but nothing works. This includes updating my X399 chipset driver.
There are FOUR entries for Digital Audio HDMI under the sound panel, but zero entries for speakers/headphones/line out etc. I don't use HDMI output, just speakers and line in/out.
Nvidia was updated last week, which may be the problem. Their support has not helped.
Notice that "Audio Inputs & Outputs" is not listed in the Device Manager (screenshot link below)
My computer doesn't have a system restore point.
Win10 Pro. Windows refuses to fully update to 22h2.
I produce music & video. This is extremely important!!
