If you like to update drivers for no other reason other than to have the latest Drivers installed. Then go ahead and update it to the latest.
But generally you should only update if your computer is having problems or a specific software/game requires a newer driver. Otherwise you just may be bringing in new problems by installing the latest driver.
It is generally accepted to make a "Clean" AMD Driver installation. That way there will be no conflicts with the presently installed driver. Normally using DDU in safe mode with the internet disconnected.
Sometimes it may be necessary to install on top of an old driver to make the latest driver work correctly. but that is more of an exception than a rule. just my own opinion.
