I have a Sapphire Radeon RX 5700XT and I've recently discovered that when I undervolt my GPU using the Adrenaline 2020 driver, all the crashing and black screens go away. This leads me to believe that when my GPU is OC'd or at normal mhz that it isn't getting the power it requires from my single 8pin, 6+2pin cable. Is it possible that a single cable won't supply enough power to the card during heavy load? I get mixed opinions stating that it shouldn't matter because of the PSU I use, Corsair CX 650x.
I'd like to use every ounce of power available to me in a card that can reach a clock speed upwards of 2000 mhz yet I have to revert to a clock speed of less than 1200 mhz to avoid crashes. I am curious whether others having issues with their 5700xt's might be running off a single power cable as well.
