Rx 5500xt display problem

Hello! I would like to ask for help with a problem.

I have an amd rx 5500xt card that recently started producing an error again

The error:

-The image completely disappears randomly (The computer works, sound works, everything works, but there is no image.)

Which usually fixes itself after a restart, but then the resolution locks to 1024x768

And there is no way to change it, in such cases the only way I can temporarily fix it is to download the latest driver again. (It was on it before.)

Then there is the other problem, which is a little different:

- When I turn on the computer, it doesn't give an image either, only after several restarts. And then it locks the resolution in the same way (what I wrote above happens, only the beginning is different)

But it doesn't always do it, sometimes it goes completely smoothly without this error.

This error has happened before and was resolved but now it's doing this again.

I completely reset the computer. I updated all the drivers. I did everything I could find on the net but nothing helps.

This is my last resort.

Thanks in advance for your help

Sorry for the long novel

Hello @Syrengg,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with your RX 5500 XT card. Here are some potential solutions for your problem:

  1. Disable HDCP: Try disabling HDCP in the Adrenalin software. Go to Settings > Display > Overrides and turn off HDCP.

  2. Update Driver: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed. If the issue persists, consider rolling back to an older, stable driver version.

  3. Check Connections: Ensure all your cables and connections are secure and try different ports if available.

  4. Cooling System: Overheating can cause display issues. Make sure your card's cooling system is working properly.

  5. BIOS Update: Check if your motherboard's BIOS is up to date, as it can sometimes cause compatibility issues with new drivers.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,
Thomas Brown
