Running StoreMI inside windows VM

Setup:

5950x

Meg x570 Unify

I have 2 boot disks, one with linux installed and the other with windows installed.

I've setup StoreMI with a nvme cache and a sata HDD storage.

When I boot into windows directly on bare-metal, StoreMI works perfectly.

I'm trying to run the windows as a VM from linux and still get StoreMI working.

I passed both the nvme cache and the sata HDD storage the guest. StoreMI can detect the proprietary driver on the nvme cache fine.

I've set the CPU configuration and smbios information to be exactly the same as the host (it shows 5950x when I go into windows task manager, and it shows meg x570 unify motherboard from msinfo32).

but StoreMI still reports an error of "StoreMI does not support the current processor and motherboard combination".

I think it most likely has something to with some proprietary components on the motherboard that needs to be passed through to the windows guest.

Any ideas?
