RAID causing 100% disk usage freeze?

Hello,
I installed two Sata HDD Drives in Raid 0, so I had to switch from AHCI to Raid. Therefore  I did a clean install with the latest windows versions and raid drivers (2.20.1937) using RAID_NVMe_DID.

Every single time I end up with a clean systems randomly freezing with 100% Disk usage (no data throughput) on my SATA SSD drive (and sometimes also on my NVMe drive). I did several reinstalls, but the problem persists, even after disabling the usual suspects: superfetch, bits, windows search, ...

The problems started with switching to raid - as my windows was up to date before while running AHCI, I suppose there is a problem with storage management caused by the RAID drivers. My Device Manager shows: 2x AMD-RAID Bottom Device + 2x AMD-RAID Controller [storport]. Is that normal?

Thanks for your help, Werner

Unless you are installing Windows to the RAID array, there is no need to load RAID drivers during setup. You can add a data-only RAID array at any time after the Windows install, even after switching an existing Windows install from AHCI to RAID mode.
