basically, I tried to record a clip with relive, and on my main monitor (gameplay), it recorded and saved as an M4A file, and it recorded on my second monitor as an mp4. I converted the m4a file with an online converter and it was just black with no sound. Also, is there a way to record only my gameplay monitor?

Hi,
Both my monitors are saving the file as MP4
Are you referring to the separate microphone sound, because that is saved as an M4A file on my system?
hey sorry for the late reply. the monitor with discord records in mp4, but it doesn't have any recordings of the other monitor. The file that should be the first monitor (i think) is m4a. neither have audio, and the m4a when I open says filetype not supported in windows music player.
1. download VLC
2. check with VLC if m4a has any audio in it
2b. M4A is an AUDIO FILE FORMAT!
3. check with VLC if MP4 has video in it
4. maybe your MP4 and M4A need to be muxed - use ffmpeg for that (super easy)
ok the m4a has no audio, the mp4 has video and audio but it is recording the wrong screen. how do I change this in radeon settings?
thanks for all your help guys also happy new year
for me ReLive only gives one file - a mp4 (with audio and video)
EDIT:
ReLive always captures the screen in which ReLive window is open ;)
if no ReLive window is open - then ReLive will caputre main-screen set in windows ;)
EDIT2:
i think you activated "sperate mikrophone"-option in "settings"
this will create your m4a file for you
thank you so much! I think this fixed it! I will update and reply if something goes wrong
pls kudo my answer ;)
