the radeon pro V340 vanished from the product page, is there any EOL announcement?

will there be new driver releases? the last one is from 2019

V340 was released and sold thru OEMs. The V340 is not available anymore. We have still drivers available for ESXi 6.5 and 6.7. Why do you need new drivers? Do you have any problem with your existing driver? There will be no further driver release for this product since it has been sold out.

newer AMD drivers seem to have citrix h264 encoding support - manipuliating the inf file is ok for the lab environment but not for the productive system. 

so technically there is no nvidia grid counterpart availble from AMD anymore?

the instinct cards are only for linux, I guess no vmware/esxi support is on the public roadmap?

Correct. No VDI card for RETAIL until 2021. All AMD VDI solutions are currently sold thru OEM except S7150 X2. Radeon Instinct cards are for HPC with no VMware support for end-users. Microsoft Azure Nvv4 is using Radeon Instinct.
