After my old graphics card died a couple of days ago, I was given and old Radeon HD6950 from my brother and I tried to replace my old card with it.
I was always able to use my onboard Graphics and after I replaced my old card and booted the system, my PC downloaded a VGA driver and called it a day. After I installed the latest driver for the HD6950 however, I rebooted and after that, I can't get past the "Windows Logo"-screen, the screen goes black after that and nothing changes anymore, until I turn the PC off.
Is there a different driver I can try? Is this graphics card damaged too? Or maybe the motherboard?
