Radeon Adrenalin Driver keeps reverting to WHQL driver from Windows Update

I keep having the problem of the newest Radeon Adranalin driver from AMD website keeps reverting to older WHQL one from Microsoft Update, which also disables AMD Radeon Software App from working.


I disabled the automatic driver update, but it is still happening.

That setting on its own does not always work.

Try asking on https://www.tenforums.com/ for other settings, or 3rd party app. suggestions.

Is there anything else that can be done to stop Windows from updating drivers?

Or should I just go back and in tall the the WHQL driver from AMD site, complete with the supporting software?

It seems that the current WHQL listed is only 8 days older than the latest release.
