Radeon 780M (video encode issues) is no longer able to play any type of video

I am currently using the Acer Nitro 16 AN16-41 Ryzen 7 7840HS - Radeon 780M - RTX 4060 - 32 GB - 1 TB model.

After 5 months of using the laptop, even though I did not update it, it suddenly stopped playing videos. When the first browsers played videos, the whole window would go black and come back and the video would turn green. Then, when I tried this on the videos on my device, I got a video encoding error.

A lot of people blame this on the driver, but I blame the engineers and architects who designed the processor. I think the transistors inside this Radeon 780m that they designed are drawing high voltage and going through the hardware that decodes the video.

I think if there was a driver problem, this problem would not occur in all Linux distributions. If it was a driver problem, I have been able to play videos without any problems for 5 months on both Windows 11 and operating systems such as Arch, Ubuntu, Linux Mint.

I will call Acer and AMD from here, they will immediately identify these problematic products like Intel and give you a refund. I took my laptop to Acer technical support. They told me it was a driver problem and that they had emailed AMD. Before the laptop could be repaired and without any action being taken, I was deprived of the device that I had been waiting for for 2 weeks and I am still waiting for it to arrive from the freight company. AMD, take a look at this and get the warranty rights for laptop processors from other contracted companies. Acer has done its best not to return this laptop or send a new one today.
