Hi community,
I experience a major problem of stability with a newly installed system with a Ryzen 7800G APU with integrated Radeon 780M graphics.
Hardware in this case is a brand new ASRock DeskMini X600 with a 2 x 32 GB Kingston Fury SO-DIMM 5600 Mhz Kit with the Ryzen 7800G.
Just as an information in advanced:
I tried already different ram clock speeds from 5600 down to 4800 mhz as well as using older drivers (chipset, adrenalin drivers and also Windows default). Even different BIOS revisions. But nothing has changed the problem so far. Also it doesn't matter if I use Windows 10 or 11. I tried both in combination with default windows drivers and further installation of chipset and adrenalin drivers, beginning with oder ones up to the newest releases. All with the same negative result.
I'm getting lots of black screens during uptime of the system. Each time, system will freeze for some seconds an then the black screen occur and after some seconds desktop will come back again and the AMD error reporting tool pops up and will display a driver timeout error.
Mostly when system is coming back, one of the Ryzen cores will run at 100% and system becomes very laggy.
I can't pinpoint the reason for that. It also will happen, if I do nothing, hands of from mouse and keyboard, but much more often it appears during writing something in either a browser or in a text editor.
Right now, while I'm pre-tiping this text in a text editor, I got this problem already 5 times. Very frustrating at all.
I googled already for it and found lots of differnt postings about this problem.
What I also can say is the fact, that this is not only a problem of the Ryzen 8700G.
My company LapTop with Ryzen 9 PRO 8945HS with Radeon 780M Graphics also has this problem from time to time. Not as often as my system here at home but it appears sporadically also.
I've already used another 8700G that a friend of mine kindly provided for testing, but experienced the same problems.
So I'm increasingly coming to the conclusion, that there's something wrong with the Ryzen 8xxx Series with integrated Radeon 780M in general.
I'm really frustrated right now. My complete system at home was more or less expensive enough already and I can't use it at the moment.
