Good morning,
sorry in advance if it is not the right place to post this on.
I've been struggling for a few weeks with this annoying issue: basically every few minutes my pc starts heavily frame-lagging (precisely it is stuck on 3 fps) for 10 to 30 seconds even if I'm not gaming.
I thought it could have been an hardware issue but there's one thing that makes me think it could be not, which is the fact that the cursor usually shows the spinning blue circle that indicates something loading while these fps drops happen.
After installing Windows' process explorer I found out something tho: right after the lag spikes ends, the process consuming the most CPU is amdrsserv.exe, which makes me think it has to restart every now and then. I might have confirmed my theory since when I try to kill the AMDRSServ.exe process the problem appears until the process is back up. So my guess is the process crashes and it makes the PC lag 'till it restarts. Do you have any suggestion on why this could happen/how to solve this?
My GPU is a RX 5700 Mech OC - Drivers are 24.8.1
Thanks in advance for any help you can give and have a nice day!
