Description of Original Problem: Hi All, I have a Samsung 65" MU8500 and a Samsung HW-MS6500 Soundbar connected together via HDMI ARC, I have my PC connected to the Samsung TV via HDMI for video and audio, but it only lets me set the audio to PCM on the TV. When I play Netflix on the PC it will allow me to change the setting on the Samsung TV to Dolby Digital, but as soon as I stop Netflix the TV sound settings immediately switch back to PCM, is there a way on the PC to set all output audio to Dolby Digital? I'm also getting a weird cracking on audio when set to PCM, but don't seem to notice it on Dolby Digital.
Troubleshooting: Not sure what to put here, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the AMD High Definition Audio Drivers. I have done a ton of research on how to fix this, but I can't seem to find an answer other then use an Optical Cable which I would like to avoid as I also have an Xbox connected to this TV and that does allow me to switch the Audio to Dolby Digital.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
JC
