To preface, my build information is as follows

Problem
Currently I have all of these components setup together as a testbench on my desk. All components are correctly seated, and powered. All hardware is working, and responsive, atleast from BIOS. When I boot to Windows, everything works perfectly, until the point comes that I install the AMD Drivers (whether from the official site, or from the MSI Centre), then when reboot occurs, I get some varying graphical problems each time, despite their variations, all are unusable.
I have attempted to redo this on Windows 10 and 11, and recieved differing results. On Windows 10, after drivers were installed, the login screen was tearing, flickering, and unresponsive, it took 10 seconds for the login prompt to show after hitting the space bar. Typing the password was a pain due to the fact I couldn't see anything. When I booted, I was prompted with a message from the Driver Utility saying that my hardware was incompatible, and continues to be unstable. I must emphasize, the system is unusable, not just for a specific task. On Windows 11, I can't even press the space bar, it just freezes on the lock screen.
Self Troubleshooting
None of these seemed to work at all.
Ultimately I am a little stuck. I don't know if purchasing a graphics card will fix this issue or not.
Since the IGP uses system memory, some EXPO speed/timings can indeed cause this issue. Have you confirmed that XMP/EXPO is disabled and the memory is running at SPD default DDR5-4800 or similar?
The IGP in the 7000 series desktop offers a very basic display output which is not suitable for gaming.
Hi. Can you confirm whether or not getting a GPU will fix my issue?
Can you confirm whether XMP/EXPO is disabled?
Yes. XMP and EXPO are both disabled. I have completely reset BIOS to factory defaults. Tried to boot again to Windows 10. Then after installing drivers I have the same issues.
To clarify, everything works fine, and is responsive, until I install the AMD drivers. I can navigate the OS, open programs, but as soon as I install the AMD drivers, either from the MSI installer, or from the AMD website, nothing works.
Any idea?
As this issue seems to be tied specifically to the IGP in the processor, yes installing a discrete graphics card is a workaround. If you planned to purchase one anyway that may be an acceptable solution for you.
However having the IGP in the processor would be nice as a backup, but as it is not working correctly, and you have already disabled XMP/EXPO and that didn't fix the problem, there's little left to troubleshoot. As it seems to work okay until drivers are installed that would likely rule out a BIOS/motherboard issue and point to something in the Adrenalin software causing the instability.
Have you tried the latest 24.8.1 from the AMD driver site?
