Hey folks,
I had a Samsung Odyssey G9 that got RMA'd and today the replacement arrived. For some reason whenever I have this new G9 (via DisplayPort) and an existing HDMI to ethernet adapter plugged into my 6900XT, the display on the G9 acts weird:
- Every second or so the screen kind of resizes back and forth. When this happens, my mouse moves to the center of the screen.
- I noticed in the display settings (Windows and Adrenalin) the second monitor (HDMI to ethernet via HDMI) comes in and out on each flick.
- If I unplug the HDMI from the graphics card, everything works fine via the DisplayPort (except of course I don't have that HDMI).
- If I make it to device manager and swap from the AMD driver to the standard Windows display driver it stops flicking (but doesn't detect the HDMI).
- No difference if I change the G9's refresh rate to 120 from 240.
I took a video to show the behavior: https://photos.app.goo.gl/yYcLryRbAmJ6MX986
Any idea how to resolve? It's so weird that this started the moment I swapped G9s.. everything was fine before (both monitors would be usable without issue).
I did a clean install of the latest AMD stuff via https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-601 along with a fresh driver install and no difference.
