Hello,
When I'm updating to 21.4.1 or some of the more older recent ones, one of my monitors, a BenQ XL2040G, has issues being recognized as a monitor with the capability to run on 1920 x 1080 with 144hz refresh rate.
Instead, it's locked onto 640 x 480.
Basically, same issue as this topic, but this one tends to be about another monitor: https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/latest-driver-21-3-1-locked-my-monitor-to-640x480/td-p...
This is very frustrating as I want to run the latest drivers for optmizations, but instead I can't go much further than a driver from may 2020, number 20.4.2. Between 20.4.2 and 21.4.1, the more older ones tend to have freezing issues which are resolved in the newer versions, but the new versions have the monitor issues as stated above.
I've sent bug reports to AMD with the older drivers but as of right now, nothing has been done yet to resolve them.
Please solve the issues! Note that older drivers don't have the issues, so it's a release that has removed compability with some types of monitors, including mine.
It's not the monitor, it works just fine on older drivers and on my other linux laptop. Using HDMI is not an option as the monitor gets downgraded by doing so.
