League Of Legends Crashing on windows 10 Rx 480 8GB Solved

I've recently been having crashes on League of legends, not even in game, in the client itself, and I've fixed it by installing the optional driver given in windows update. The windows driver version is 26.20.13002.133, it does have any radeon software installed, only this driver, and I should also mention that I re-installed league of legends too. At first when I was downloading league in the league client(not riot client) it froze for a bit, black screened, and the came back to normal, I played a match after which lasted about 25 minutes and no stutters or crashes occurred. I've also seen some people say that uncapped fps on league makes it unstable and potentially crash, so you might want to cap the fps.

My whole rig consists of:

  • CPU: i5 4570
  • MOBO: MSI H81M-E33
  • RAM: 12 GB DDR3 at 1600mhz
  • GPU: MSI RX 480 8G Gaming X
  • PSU: 800W (I know overkill, but future proof.)

I hope this helps some people. Just wanted to share info.
