Latest driver causes freezing

Updating my graphics driver causes Windows to freeze erratically. The cursor disappears and the screen is frozen. I have rolled back to driver 21 and the problem disappears. I've tried the last two driver updates and the problem persists. Ordinarily I would just wait for another update and try again, but the fact that the last two updates have the same issue leads me to believe it may be a consistent problem. I'm currently running with the 23.8.1 driver. My hardware includes:
