Latest AMDGPU says vendor is ATI Technologies?

Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS, Latest driver downloaded today, 22.40 dated 12/13/2022 from this site:

https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-5700-series/amd-radeon-rx-5700-series/amd-radeon-...

this is supposed to be version 22.40, but when I Click the link it gives me a file named:

amdgpu-install_5.4.50401-1_all.deb

the 50401-1 part seems inline with previous drivers, but what is this 5.4 stuff? the previous driver, 22.20 said was

amdgpu-install_22.20.50200-1_all.deb

installed with the following command:

amdgpu-install --usecase=workstation --vulkan=amdvlk,pro --accept-eula --opencl=rocr,legacy -y

after installation I usually run this command to verify (after reboot) that the driver is working properly
it should report Advanced Micro Devices if using the AMDGPU or says "AMD" if using the open source driver.
however after this driver, it actually says

❯ glxinfo | grep "OpenGL vendor string" | cut -f2 -d":" | xargs
ATI Technologies Inc.

so...what's up with that? I was an ATI fan in elementry school, but what is going on with the current driver?
