I downloaded the auto detect and install package for my rx 6600, it list my card and to the right of that it says "PRO 23.Q4 Install (Downgrade)"...

I put this card in 3 or 4 days ago, i dont remember it saying this when i installed the software back then, but i just reinstalled windows today and this is what its telling me , im guessing i should ignore this and install anyway but id like to find out why it says im installing a downgrade.

I think once  your new install is up and  running, make a RESTORE POINT and then ignore that installer warning and instead manually install the latest driver from AMD.. unless you play BF2024 then use the 23.12.1 instead.

I've used AMD for a looooooong time and have never heard of PRO 23.Q4  I don't know what that is.. but I don't like it, because it's abnormal. Going out on a limb here: There are other drivers for people who use the cards in professions. Maybe that's it, but not for you unless you do graphic design and some app you have installed is triggering it. I dunno maybe it's just window's designation.  good luck!
