Incomatible Driver on computer restart
I have the strangest error, I download the latest AMD Driver 21.10.1 for my Radeon Laptop - it's 5500m
Now this works fine, with HDMi on my second monitor, issue is as soon as I restart the computer after the driver is installed I lose connectivity to my second monitor and then get a message saying my driver is incompatible.
Bacically everything woirks fine, only if i install the driver every single time i start my laptop.
Any fixes here, maybe I need to use an old driver?

Do a complete uninstallation of the driver, use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) make sure to run it in safe mode and follow the instructions
Then restart the PC and install Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.12.1
Radeonâ„¢ Software Adrenalin 21.12.1 Release Notes | AMD
See if that fixes the issue

Update to the latest WHQL certified driver as of this point that would be 21.10.2
Do the following:
1) Download the 21.10.2 WHQL driver
2) Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)
Disconnect from the Internet.
Run DDU and get rid of all of the existing driver.
Install the driver you previously downloaded.
When installing the new driver, click on "Additional Options" that you will see at the top left and chose "Factory Reset".
Job done.

To me this sounds like the Windows Update over-riding your drivers with 2020 old versions. Basically everytime windows updates now it, replaces my AMD drivers, and there's no way to DIS-ABLE it. AMD needs to get MICROSOFT to fix this.
