It seems it is impossible to uncap the FPS with AMD drivers for the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl; tried changing monitor frequency hz 60/100/200; tried vsync enabled/disabled both in game configuration file and in AMD settings; nothing works...game is capped at 100FPS; meanwhile my Nvidia gpus can uncap no problem. Anyone know how to fix this?

This is the disk version of the game, patched.

I didn't play this on a modern PC but you can always look for problems on older games on the pcgamingWiki website.

I've seen something there about the latest official patch that forces vsync on so you must downgrade... Hope this helps.

Thanks, but that isn't the issue; uncapping works fine on Nvidia cards; just not with AMD even with vsync turned off in the driver and in the game. 3080Ti has no issue uncapping FPS on same systems.
