Hi everyone, 

i am a new AMD uswe and its my very first time i use AMD. I build my system back in june 2023 So its a fresh and new PC. When i installed Windwos 11 i installed right away the chipset driver

I just read there was a new chipset driver out for Ryzen CPU's. So its maybe a dumb adumb question;

Im not sure if windows has updated my CPU ( if it does.. ) but i want to download the newest bios from my manufacturer and where do i download the newest chipdriver then ?

And do i need to uninstall something before i update the newest chipset driver ?

My specs ;

motherboard ; Nxzt B650e N7

cpu: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

ddr5 32

nvidia rtx 2080ti

thanks ! But then i still have a question -

do i need to unistall the previous one or packages ?

Read the section on uninstalling.

If by packages you are referring to the local disk/ c/ amd/ chipset software folder, that can be deleted after an installation.
