I've been trying to update my CPU drivers but nothing I try seems to be working. I've tried using:
- The latest version of the auto-detect driver tool
- The latest driver under Processors>Ryzen>Ryzen 7000 Series>AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- The latest driver under Chipsets>AM5>x670
And each time it says 'this installer is intended to be deployed on an AMD system.' and does nothing else. I'm guessing because it sees I don't have a Radeon Graphics Card but it seems to not be detecting my CPU.
I tried installing the drivers through the ASUS DriverHub but it seems they just use the same chipset installer as I get the same 'this installer is intended to be deployed on an AMD system.' message.
I tried uninstalling any and all drivers and software with the AMD Cleanup Utility which opens and runs normally but when I check the report it says no drivers or software were removed.
I also installed the Ryzen Master to see if I could update my CPU through there, it does find my CPU but can't help me update it.
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?
My (current) device specs are*:
- Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.19045
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor
- ASUS Prime X670-P motherboard
- 64,0 GB RAM
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060
*I've replaced every part (except for the storage) of this PC over the years, and switched from a Intel processor to the one I have now.
