For the past several months I've been getting grey screens on two of my systems, one of them I recently upgraded the motherboard and CPU and it still happens.
The GPU's in question are : 6900XT and 6750XT.
Systems are running Windows 11 Pro, latest version.
Hardware I've ran are as follows: 12400F, B660 / 10900KF Z490 / 5800X3D X570
Same things keeps happening what gives? It's quite annoying because my stable undervolted profiles always reset and it's unpleasant in general to get grey screens at random. Mostly happens when watching videos online but randomly also. I know for a fact my systems are rock stable. I think it's a driver issue which is unfortunate, since it hasn't been fixed yet it seems.
Just to clarify, I'm running stock for at least two months now because of this and I still get grey screens occasionally as of late, always running W11 latest version and latest version AMD software.
(doesn't happen in videogames, only in desktop/windows environments, still it's freaking annoying.)
I checked the forums some more, seems like a lot of people with Samsung g7 monitors have this, from my experience it's something to to do with DSC (display stream compression), I put the refresh rate in windows to 144hz instead of 240hz which I think negates this. But not sure, I'm just testing right now.
Haven't had any grey screens or driver crashes since I switched from 240Hz to 144Hz, hope there's a fix incoming.
so, did you find that setting the monitor to 144hz solved your issue?
i got the same issue get a grey screen watching videos
