I recently upgraded my entire system and every time I launch a game, I crash. Actually, when launching Epic Games or Rockstar Social Club Launcher, I will start to see artifacts, and my display turn black. I tried opening AMD Radeon Software as well, and before it crashed, I noticed my GPU went under full load. I've already cleared CMOS, uninstalled all drivers, restarted Windows (not clean install). What is happening?

Do you have the recommended minimum PSU wattage of 650 Watts for your PSU?

Normally artifacts occurs due to Overheating, Overclocking, Power issues, Defective GPU, or GPU Driver.

I see that Sapphire Nitro GPUs has a BIOS switch on it according to this Reddit Thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/dnbhvt/which_vbios_should_i_set_for_sapphire_rx_5700_xt/

Try using all three BIOS settings on the GPU card and see if that prevents your GPU from crashing.

I actually have a Corsair RM750x. I've recently updated my drivers to an older version, and that stabilized some games. However, on load, many other games will crash and send me back to my wallpaper. Red Dead 2 restarts my entire PC.

Does your Sapphire GPU have that BIOS switch where you can switch to 3 different BIOS versions depending on what you are going to use the GPU for?

If so have you tried a different BIOS version via the BIOS Switch to see if it runs more stable?

Have you tried to Stress test your GPU card to see if it crashes or not?  Furmark is a good Stress test for GPUs and I personally like OCCT which also Stress test the PSU.  If your GPU card passes all the Stress tests then most likely it is a AMD Driver issue.

In the games it crashes have you tried different Radeon Game Settings or the Game's own Settings to see if it stabilizes?

Otherwise, unless another RX5700 User knows a fix I suggest you open an AMD Service Request (Official AMD Support): https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact-email-form

Truthfully many Users have been having issues with the rx5700 series GPU cards and AMD drivers in the past.
