GPU bricked after Radeon software update

Hi all

I've installed the latest Radeon software/ drivers and my GPU is now not functioning. VGA led solid red on motherboard

Specs: R5 2600

RX 5700 MSI armor

16gb ram

750w 80+ PSU

B450 aorus elite mobo

GPU working fine aside from a few normal crashes as aging hardware prior to update

So far have tried:

Removing all hardware and reseating

Power cycling

Using motherboard display (no display and cannot access bios/boot in safe mode to rollback drivers)

Ensuring all power cables plugged in to hardware

Not entirely pleased that a software update has effectively bricked my system. Any help would be much appreciated

Update: CMOS jumper cleared and now no VGA light. All fans operational and no display, no way for me to access bios to enable CPU graphics and rollback.

All hardware stock clocks

Shouldn't it say that issue is likely not in Windows drivers. If you cannot access BIOS with motherboard display output or APU (but you have R5 2600 which is not APU so no graphic core in CPU), may it be that something attempted to update it through UEFI interface and you successfully corrupted it?

Or check GPU separately on different system

The only way to check your GPU is working, is to try it in another PC..

I wouldn't think an Adrenaline update would brick the GPU, maybe it's the windows install or the GPU was failing.

I have the same mobo and i had a no post issue with it, although it's not under the same surconstances, i had to change the ram placement. In your case you don't have the dram led but give it a try with one ram stick you never know.
