Freesync causing black screen flicker

At 240hz my monitor is causing black screens for 1-2 seconds then it comes back to normal

The moment i turn off Freesync in Adrenaline software the problem stops.

Anyone with a fix?

Alienware aw2518hf freesync
RX 5700 XT, i7 7700k

I don't know if you have the monitor driver installed?

If you don't then the link is for the support page, the driver is needed to communicate with the OS...

I did have the problem a long time ago..

when I got a 4k monitor.. I had to download the monitor driver and replace the Display Port cable with a better quality one..

yeah i bought 2 expensive dp cables and downloaded monitor drivers, but the problem still occurs 😕
