I tried out FreeBSD with the amdgpu kernel module loaded. The GPU temps are not shows anywhere in "sysctl -a" nor in the acpi stack.
Under Linux (my current OS) - it is simple - and I have a python daemon running to keep the fans and the GPU temp in check. So when I run Steam games - my GPU fans modulate automatically so that my GPU does not overheat.
It appears that FreeBSD's implementation of amdgpu is lacking this feature.
I am asking here - and if there are no solutions in this forum, than I will abandon my port to FreeBSD.
