Hello my fellow amd brothers,
I installed Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and Houdini Apprentice (latest version) on my computer.
Houdini crashes on start up, saying it needs opencl.
If I try to install newest driver I get an error:
Errors were encountered while processing:
amdgpu-dkms
amdgpu
amdgpu-pro-rocr-opencl
amdgpu-pro
amdgpu-pro-lib32
I figured out that the cause could be the new Kernel (5.8).
I installed an old kernel and installed the driver. When I started Houdini it crashed again. This time I got the error :
DRM version is 2.50.0 but this driver is only compatible with 3.x.x.
Internet says your graphic card is bad but then I tried Houdini on Windows: It works.
The Problem is I need Linux/Ubuntu for my projects.
I'd be grateful, If someone could help me.
Thank you
