Fan Speed not detected (PowerColor fighter RX 6700 XT)

Since the last update of the AMD Adrenalin software, the Fan Speed always stays at 0 rpm. I do hear the fans spinning and the temperature stays normal, also when I do the stress test or when I set the fan speed almost at max in the Tuning settings.

So it seems to me this is a software issue. Do more people also noticed this issue? The version of the Adrenalin where this problem occure is 23.3.2

Hi! After reading your comment, I thought I ran into the same problem. I had installed a temporary SSD in my case yesterday, and one of the power cables was resting against one of my fans - Fan 3, the farthest fan from the ports on the case. So that fan controls the RPM sensor/PWM. Maybe something is on your fan or that fan is not spinning from dirt or dust. I had the same issue with zero RPM but could still hear the fans spinning. I reverted to 2022 AMD software etc., etc. I was going to run one of my old backup systems on another NVMe when I had seen the issue. So make sure all fans are actually spinning. Good luck!

I'm also assuming you turned off Zero rpm. made a fan curve  saved/export the profile. loaded/import the profile..
and turned off windows fast start.

I have 6700xt and I did overclock it in driver v23.3.1 and fans did work.

Now I use v23.3.2 and radeon software is reporting when fans are spining.

One of the fans wasn't spinning, causing the issue I described. The same fan is also made a lot of ticking noise and I had a specialist oiled up the fan a bit. For the last days, the fan is spinning again but making a nasty (not ticking) noise now. The specialist and I have decided that the fan is simply a bad production and so the specialist has ordered a replacement for the fans for me.
