Downscale desktop

  • Hi

I have a problem with downscaling my monitor by Readeon card.Is there any possibility to change this setting without CCC?

Please help me.

I have Radeon HD 4890. I dont know why Radeon cards downscale screen size Why? The same thing happened with HD3980 R9, 280x and RX 580. Same shi**y downscale on other PCs.

I can change easily this in CCC or Adrenalin software but on this PC i have Win10 x64 and HD4890. When i installed drivers and CCC it can't be run because of unsupported OS (Win10). When i right click on desktop and try to run CCC appear a communicate: "You can't run CCC. At this moment in CCC there is any settings you can change.".

I have tried many solutions from many forums or YT but i only do mess in my OS. Please help me.

First of all all HD 3000/4000 series GPU cards are very old and not supported by AMD driver updates. The only way to find a compatible AMD driver for any HD  3000/4000 GPU cards in both Windows 10 and 11 is by allowing Windows  Update to install the most compatible AMD driver.  If you need a newer AMD driver than you will need to upgrade your GPU card to one that is supported by AMD.

All RX 400/500/600 series GPU cards have limited AMD driver support.  They are still supported but the drivers won't be updated as frequently as the newer AMD GPU cards that are fully supported.

If you can explain more clearly exactly the issue you are having plus post your PC information and Windows OS and AMD driver installed and any error messages that pops up when you try to downscale.

Go to Windows Device Manager and see any errors that are showing and post it once your PC is working normally and you try to downscale.

Yes I know that these cards are not supported.

But buying new card isn't a solution.

Forget about my problem. I think there isn't solution of my problem.

Maybe someone know answer on this question: "Why AMD card are downsizing displaying screen?" Even in BIOS/UEFI displaying screen is smaller about ~20% (this black frame from my picture).

I bought couple AMD cards in past years and after physical installation card (whithout installing drivers) screen is smaller.

Check the refreshrate, set to 60Hz, and sets full-HD res (1080p).
