As you know, earlier this month version 23.11.1 came out, which actually came out in 2 titles and didn't have a lot of features for older cards.
I can't see the version on the software application, and when I look at the previous drivers of any card from this card series, the latest version is 23.8.2 dated August 31st.
Has AMD officially ended support for these cards or are they still available?
Would need to see a pic as to why 'can't see the version.........', but could be Windows update replaced driver?
Reported issues for some had drivers after 23.8.2 removed from download, and vega/polaris have been moved to a separate driver branch.
Doubt any newer features/functions will come to these old cards, probably only necessary functional/security updates in the future.
Actually, what I'm asking is, this driver suddenly appeared after 3 or 4 months?
I mean, I don't mind if it doesn't show up in the app, I can install it manually, but what I don't understand is why the latest version came out all of a sudden?
I thought AMD stop the support for these cards, I wonder if it's official or not
If it is listed on the official amd driver download page for your model, then it's legit. From any other site, who knows?
You're right, I realize it's legal because it's on the site.
Since version 23.9.1 there was no support for Polaris and vega card series. It was said that support was over because AMD was concentrating on the RDNA series.
In version 23.11.1 there is proper support for these series again, but in a different way than the RDNA series.
Now, this support is not definitively over, right?
Or is the support over and it's just a patch released for 1 or 2 fixes?
Can't answer that, no info on future support timeline.
