Crash to black screen while in game; no I\O

    • Stock clocks for testing purposes

    • Desktop
  • Operating System
    • Windows 10 x64 1909
  • Driver version installed
    • 20.8.3
  • Display Devices
    • Asus VG248 \ 1080p \ 120hz \ DP
    • HP 25es \ 1080p \ 60hz \ HDMI
  • Motherboard + Bios Revision
    • Asus Prime x470-Pro
    • Bios 5603 (latest)
  • CPU/APU
    • Ryzen 2700x
  • Power Supply Unit  Make, Model & Wattage
    • Evga 600w silver
  • RAM
    • 32GB

 

Describe your issue:

  • Crash to black screen; no I\O and requires power-cycle; wattman resets to defaults even though they were already at default; stress testing on the desktop completes without issue
  • Issue occurs mostly in latest release of MSFT Flight Sim 2020
  • Default graphics settings in game and AMD CC for testing purposes

Adjusted timings and tuned for a less aggressive RAM OC and the system was much more stable. Not sure what the relationship is between this GPU and RAM, as the RX480 was perfectly fine, but I'll take it..
