Windows started freezing on me some months back and if I can get into task manager it shows -1% GPU usage, an issue being reported on various forums which seems to only happen when running some sort of hardware monitoring software (in my case HWMonitor).
After try a bunch of different things to determine what caused this to start I've found that it doesn't happen if I go back to using Radeon Software version 21.3.1, I suspect it has to do with newer versions installing a new PCI Bus driver version (21.10.0.1) but can't verify this as I can't isolate them from each other.
My hardware (or at least what might be relevant):
- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master
- AMD Radeon RX 6800
Takes minutes, hours, or even days of uptime before Windows freezes but will always freeze after a few days.
