Possible Cause

AMD Software Installer was unable to access web resources required for installation from AMD servers. This may be caused by your system antivirus software, firewall settings or the AMD servers are temporary offline for maintenance. 

Solution

The following suggestions are provided as possible solutions for error 195.  

  1. Please make sure you are running the latest version of the AMD Auto-Detect and Install Tool or the full AMD Driver package, which can be found here.​
  2. Check your antivirus software and definitions are up to date then rerun the AMD Software Installer. You may also consider disabling your antivirus software temporarily until the installation of the AMD Software Package is complete. 
  3. Configure your system firewall settings to allow traffic with AMD servers while the AMD Software Installer is running.
  4. Consider installing the AMD Software Package later, the AMD servers may be temporarily offline due to maintenance. 

If you are still unable to resolve error 195 after following the suggestions outlined above and need further assistance, please contact AMD Customer Care, and attach the AMD Software Installer log file to your service request. The AMD Software Installer log file is located in C:\Program Files\AMD\CIM\Log\Install.log​ 

IMPORTANT! Follow the steps below when raising a service request for this issue: 

  1. To raise an e-ticket, visit: Online Service Request
  2. Enter "Error 195" (without quotes) in the Subject field. 
  3. Provide as much detail as possible about your issue in the Description field. 
  4. Attach the AMD Software Installer log file to the service request and click Submit.
