So I downloaded the amd driver software for my Ryzen 7 2700X from here https://www.amd.com/en/support/cpu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-desktop-processors/amd-ryzen-7-2...

Problem is when I run the exe file, it doesn't detect that I'm using a ryzen cpu and then it aborts the install process.

This prevents me from modifying any of the cores and any frequency.

I really don't know what to do about this, I don't know of any kind of troubleshoot steps there are.

What is the motherboard make and model, what OS version?

A prebuilt system board might be locked out of using it?

Asus B450-F gaming motherboard with windows 11. Custom built

Problem might be trying to install Win10 pkg on Win11?
