Hi, i have problem with recent update. My AMD software is closing in background. Icon from taskbar just keeps disapearing. This happens when i stay in idle on the desktop or for example watch video on youtube. I have to turn it on manually by clicking right mouse key and choosing amd software: adrenaline edition on desktop. I tried DDU in safe mode and this is still happening. Can someone help me? It's realy frustrating to manualy turn on software every 15 min.
When i start PC evrerything is normal Adrenaline software lunch and everything is great. BUT to clarify everything whole software shuts down randomly after 10 minutes or sometimes even an hour, it's not just the icon in taskbar menu disappear. For exemple AFMF 2 is not working. I must turn on adrenaline software myself manualy then it works.
I can play BG3 dx11 but without adrenaline features - AFMF 2 is not working just raw fps no frame generation. I miss some other options as well i don't have overlay with fps and so on. I must turn Adrenaline software manualy then it works.
Adrenalin version: 24.9.1

WIN 11 - Recent Update
Yo, just replying to confirm it's not just you.
Previous drivers had the radeon window opening after monitor standby or sleep, that bug was meant to be fixed in 24.9.1 but now I get the radeon software fully closing from tray & relive stops functioning even if I launch it again from start. Rolling back, DDU, updating again does not fix the issue.
So currently since I play black myth I reinstalled 24.10.37.10 and just live with the standby popup.

Ty for you answer. I feel a bit of relief that I'm not the only one affected by this problem, I was afraid that it might be a hardware problem, even though all games without adrenaline software worked fine, there was always a risk that something was conflicting between the software and the GPU or CPU.
I hope that someone from support or another user will find a solution to this problem. Maybe the next driver update will solve this problem. I will also try to find a solution myself. If I find out anything I will share it on the forum.
It worked for days then this problem appeared also to me...
Hi, I have the same problem since some previous versions. With 24.12.1 it still happens, also the problem that it takes a long time to start the program when you start the computer or the first time you open it...
Same here, I have this issue since adrenalin September drivers maybe even a bit older, and the latest from December does not solve the problem. AMD should look into this bug as it makes me restart my PC every time when this happens in order to solve it. Before Adrenalin 24.12.1 I was able to get the driver working when opening the control panel of adrenalin drivers, but now I have to restart the PC.

I am also experiencing this problem with 24.12.1.

It sounds like a frustrating issue with the AMD Adrenaline software randomly closing in the background. Since you've already tried using DDU in safe mode without success, it could be worth checking for any background processes or conflicting software that might be causing it to crash. You might also want to try reinstalling the software, or updating your GPU drivers to the latest version, as sometimes updates can resolve bugs like this. If the problem persists, reaching out to AMD support might help diagnose if there’s a deeper issue with the software or your system configuration.
I have had this as far as I can remember.
Adrenaline Software [24.12.1] still closes randomly and settings are reverted
I have been seeing the same thing with the latest driver.
Settings also often are reverted, seemingly randomly. I cannot be sure of how far back my settings get reverted as I haven't tried to track that yet. I assume though and it does seem to coincide with the software shutting down for no reason.
In the past I had found instructions to disable Windows Update from installing drivers. I did this within Windows Update settings. I also enabled the Windows Group Policy which is also supposed WU from getting drivers so it does not end up with a bad one from WU.
I am a software dev myself, working at MS for 15 years now, so I have a very good idea what I am doing.
I did find this message many times in the Event Logs :
"The AMD User Experience Program Data Uploader service is marked as an interactive service. However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services. This service may not function properly."
I am not sure if this could cause it. It does though say the service may not function properly and if the service does not function properly perhaps the software could falter as well. I did not find any errors showing the the Adrenaline software crashed or anything like that.
Which makes me wonder if the software is closing cleanly. If it is closing cleanly as far as Windows is concerned could it be because the service is not working correctly so maybe there are no app crash events because it is closing this way 'by design'.
What I did just now, is to change the setting of the service. It was 'Automatic (Delayed Start)'
so I just changed it to 'Automatic'
I will have to wait to see if that has any effect. I really just can't be sure.
Could I also suggest a 'Save' button? I mean, we can tweak settings but can never be sure they will be the same the next time we open the software.
