No support/ optimization for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? Too bad.
Yes, this was included in the driver and it is mentioned in the release notes. The OP has since been updated.

Great, thanks.
The error with the encoder has finally been fixed. Now B-frames work in OBS.
No uptades for PoE 2? Shame.
Please AMD, optmizations and support for Path of exile 2.
My 6650XT is struggling at 2560x1080. 115w of power pushing temps around 80C and 100C hostpot in town if lowest Global Illumination settings is on. When turned off, pushes around 75C and 90C hostpot temps.
Bug: Custom colors do not persist in games.
Hi guys, is it possible that even this update (I'm on 3) keeps giving me black screen? Basically during the installation it turns my screen black, it also reboots the pc but it still stays black and only the boot sound is heard. Is there anyone who can help me out? Thanks in advance
P.S. I am practically forced to go into safe mode and do a driver restore to the previous version...
The black screen when booting the system can only be fixed by connecting a second PCI-E power cable. Not a branched cable, but two separate cables.
I literally just spent a good amount of time trying to get my computer to work again from this update, too. Driver restore was my only option.
DIDN'T WORK FOR ME... PERORMANCE NOW 25% PF PREVIOUS VERSION
DayZ fix?
Delta Force still a stuttering mess with massive frame drops. Can we please have a drive that works with Unreal Engine games. When forcing the game to use DX11 its pretty much fine but you lose the option to enable FSR etc.
they cant keep running, SORRY but Unreal Engine 5 in DX12 is HERE TO STAY and going to be used in a LOT of games....Fortnite had 14 million players on a few days ago and AMD doesnt have a driver for a game with 14 million players??and the GAME KNOWS THE DRIVER WONT WORK WITH UNREAL ENGINE 5 and DX12, tells you to install the 24.8 driver for 7000 series cards its WILDY not OK....
Seriously? 2 months of waiting for a game ready driver for multiple games... and you guys are missing multiple titles, and the performance for STALKER 2 isn't even changed? What is even the point of owning AMD anymore? I'd rather take the financial hit then get another one.
THIS is what REAL driver support looks like, AGAIN PRE 0 DAY AND update to the driver for Space Marines 2 which was an AMD co promoted game, its terribly embarrassing !!!
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™ & Marvel Rivals GeForce Game Ready Driver Released
By Andrew Burnes on December 05, 2024 | Featured StoriesFrame GenerationGeForce RTX GPUsNVIDIA DLSS
Our newest GeForce Game Ready Driver features optimizations for highly anticipated games launching this month, such as Delta Force, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™, Marvel Rivals, and Path of Exile 2.
Additionally, there are also optimizations and support for Forza Motorsport’s next update, which introduces immersive Ray-Traced Global Illumination lighting. And support for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s next update, which adds DLSS 3 Frame Generation.
To ensure you receive the definitive experience in each from the second you start playing, download and install our new Game Ready Driver from the Drivers tab of NVIDIA App or GeForce.com.
Game Ready For Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™, Featuring DLSS 3 & Ray Tracing
Uncover one of history’s greatest mysteries in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™ on December 6th with the game’s Digital Premium Edition Advanced Access launch, followed by its general release on December 9th. Step into the shoes of Indiana Jones and embark on a single-player, narrative-driven journey that spans the globe during the height of the legendary archaeologist’s career. From the hallowed halls of the Vatican and the sunken temples of Sukhothai to the pyramids of Egypt and the snowy peaks of the Himalayas.
As part of a partnership with Bethesda Softworks and MachineGames, and in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on PC is further enhanced by the addition of DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Super Resolution, and ray tracing.
What's funny is that you get all worked up and excited over the statement "Our newest GeForce Game Ready Driver features optimizations..." and you don't have the slightest clue or indication of what that really means or the extent of the optimizations.
Plus, the announcement is more about nvidia game dev partners implementing vendor specific features.
Particularly funny is this " immersive Ray-Traced Global Illumination lighting". An "immersive" feature where you can regularly ask, "Is rtx on?"
Fix issue with Fortnite. Because it's impossible to play on new drivers. When entering the game an error appears AMD D3D12 driver :)))
at least fornite reads your card and driver release ( for AMD at least ) on start up and TELLS YOU THIS DRIVER AND DX12 will not work properly to revert to 24.8 for 7000 series cards, but that kills Space Marines lol...
In my testing this driver i went ( on a 7900xtx, 870e gigabyte elite, DDR6000 EXPO cl30, 9700X, 4th gen SSD) from 65 fps to 45-55 fps SAME settings...its notably slower, including Frame Generation latency went from 6-9 ms to 12-15ms....I didnt get a couple hours in to test true stability.....on fortnite ( which will translate to all my UE5 games including the upcoming Indiana Jones one in a few days), and wildly Nvidia gave us a pre Space Marines update ( 10th of Dec ) driver for a game AMD co promoted lol....its SO sad.....
I WAS UNABLE TO REVERT BACK TO 24.8.1
we got to pull for intel in the mid range.....its our ( consumers ) only hope or we just pay the nvidia entry tax....
When can we expect Path of Exile 2 optimization?
Hi guys, some time ago I downloaded AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition by product (R7 7700X), now I have a RX 7900 XT, should I download it again indicating this new product or it would not be necessary? Thank you very much for your help.
AMD removed 2 post where I said truth about their drivers.. (Yeah again)
FIX DAYZ.
Hi, the delta force game is now worse and unplayable in 24.12.1 drivers. It works fine on 24.8.1. Please fix it...
Cpu: ryzen 5600X
Gpu: Radeon RX 6800 XT
One of the biggest games of the year is coming out right now and you release a driver for FAILGUARD. You got to be joking. AMD driver team has been a joke second half of this year. Get it together and understand where to put your focus.
Will there be an update for cards like rx 570/580 later?
What about driver timeouts on 7900xtx? Send numerous reports, you not even acknowledge the problem
Deltaforce after this update is putting my hotspot to 99 degrees, I am rolling back. Using an 6900 xt and it was max 86 before this
Stalker 2 is not recognized by this new driver at all. Playing on game-pass, that should not make a difference but maybe it does? On launch the AMD info panel in the upper right which shows configuration options for whatever game you're playing is just really basic and generic.
Indeed if I go into Adrenalin control panel after I close the game there is no indication I had ever played Stalker 2. No profile with data, such as average FPS etc.. not even a name. Please assist.
Is there a way to fix the power consumption on the RX 7800 XT when watching YouTube? Right now, it is 60W on a 4K display.
Driver 24.12.1 steamvr jittering issue with Valve index
Issue on latest driver using Valve index.
After updating to driver 24.12.1 on rx7800xt sapphire plus, I get extreme jittering when looking around, making steamvr completely unusable. issue is resolved by rolling back drivers.
New drivers:
after rolling back to old drivers:
Excactly same issue for me in the 7900xtx.
After that Update to 24.12.1 My PC started to Fully shuting down with No Errors!
do you have captures?
ever since this update, and the windows 11 "version 24H2" update that i both did last night, my games are all now locked to 30fps and load times are significantly longer. i was forced to make this account just to make this comment.
baldurs gate 3 was the worst performance out of all of them, even with performance settings turned on through adrenaline. and it was perfectly fine before last night
i'm not tech savvy, i don't know how to troubleshoot these, i just want to revert both the driver and the windows update to what they were before last night since that actually worked.
I noticed increase instability since the windows updates from Nov 15th onward and this driver done nothing but made it worse.....you can find drivers to play your favorite game if you try enough it just isn't gonna play your favorite GAMES plural, at least that's my experience on my newest hardware ( AM5 x870e)
After update to 24.12.1 - started to crasing more often! Previously it was maybe once a month in some UE5 games - but now it 5-10 times a day... Ok maybe STALKER 2 problems (before update was ok) maybe Marvel Rivals or Delta Force ... But when started to Crashing Hard - War Thunder ... It's defenetly a Bad Release
Dude, I was just gonna report this same thing now that I got some time to put into it....
I got crashes in Stalker on fireup!!!
Then I used DDU in safe mode, removed all drivers ( weirdly my mother board has a newer amd chipset driver for itself than the AMD web has, i think put the mother board to ALL default safe settings, removed all apps that do anything with it ( ryzen master, AI snatch ect ), installed 24.12 clean with a full reset....
Then rebooted and fired up Stalker 2 immediately crashed to desktop....
Fired it up again and it ran about 25 mins and crashed entire computer, so I'm think maybe it's not the driver maybe it's a system component.....
So I torture test the cpu in both single and multi thread for HOURS it barely gets to 65c ( 9700x with Thermaltake Assassin cooler twin 120mm fans and a fan removing its heat directly out the back) entirely completely stable in 2 different torture programs....
Then I torture the ram, same thing full stable....
So most of my games I'm playing and want to play ( Indiana Jones tomorrow ) ARE unreal games and every single one of them crashed within 45 mins from Jedi Survivor to Stalker 2...ALSO this driver IS slower than 24.10 which for me when it works is the fastest I've tried...and Stalker feels like it's running 30fps even if it reports 60...
I set custom fan curves and nothing else ( also tried default touching nothing) to keep it cool letting it sing at max fan speed no difference but gpu temperature was lower however still crashed...ive found ive had to move ALL my games to 1440p ( with ultra settings ), I tried up res and just native 1440p doesn't matter they ALL crash....
Fire up COD 6 and yeap it crashed....just for something different....
Space Marines runs much longer but then....
I fired up Helldivers 2, and it ran 3 hours straight NO problems except it runs slower I'm getting 48-55 fps 4k ultra where I used to get 65-80...with 12+ ms of frame time vs 7ms on 24.10.....
Once thing i noticed running the overlay with hell divers is it was clocking itself ( in default mode ONLY fan curve changed to more aggravating um i mean aggressive) MUCH lower than stock settings 2100-2250mgz...
So then I said power supply trying to give it all the benefit of the doubt so I drove the card at 15% over to force maximum watt consumption, all fans in case and cpu max, cpu tdp raised from 65 to 105 ( it was pulling 150 watts ), limited the card to the same 2250mhz helldivers STILL stable pulling maximum wattage on the system and nothing else...
So I lowered it all back to default but keeping case around 26c internally ( it has 8 case fans including 3 direct to gpu from underside air and 2 out tip to exhaust that heat )..
This driver is hella unstable on my system AND it removes ALL CPU monitoring and overlay metrics within Adrenalin...
I put 24.8 on and while it's slow it runs Unreal Games with more stability but have to force global settings but Space Marines 2 doesn't like it.....
It's just I don't know where to go from here, I have my grandson so the trip will be hard but I found a decent deal on a 4080 super however it's a 6hr round trip, I keep telling myself I spent longer than that testing unable to play my games yesterday and just when I thought a game worked it crashed.....
My other option is to go back to PS5 pro ( which i already own HD2 and SM2 along with fortnite ), send my card back and just leave the PC down till this all shakes out next year with the 50 series nvidia as well as the B780 Intel....I'm at the end with this card...
It's not the system I tested it, it's not the card it WILL run some games stable and which games are stable changes with which driver your using so that rules out hardware.....and I already know both tomorrow's Indiana Jones ( pre installed on my PC and an unreal 5 engine game ) is not gonna run right nor will the big Space Marine 2 update on Tuesday....
I don't get why people give a billion dollar company as pass or take up for em they could afford to hire 300 people just for these drivers if they wanted to....even if temporarily to finally catch it up...I actually like the software if it just worked....
