AMD Ryzen Power Plan and Windows Power Mode Setting

I have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU running Windows 11.

In the Windows Control Panel, I’ve selected the "AMD Ryzen Balanced" power plan, which is recommended by AMD. However, I recently discovered the Windows "Power Mode" setting under Settings -> System -> Power. It offers three modes: Best Power Efficiency, Balanced, and Best Performance.

I chose "Best Performance" since I'm on a desktop and don’t want power-saving features. At first glance, it doesn’t seem to change anything visible; it doesn’t alter the Ryzen Balanced power plan I selected—it just remains active.

Is it correct or recommended to use the "AMD Ryzen Balanced" power plan with "Best Performance" Power Mode? Does this configuration modify the power plan in any harmful way?

I’m confused because I’ve read limited information about how this Power Mode interacts with the Power plan.

For reference, i have installed the AMD Chipset Software version 6.01.25.342, which should be up-to-date since I set up my PC about a week ago.

Any information or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I recently set up a system with the Ryzen 5 3600 running Windows 11 on an Asrock B550M Pro4. For me, the best option has been Windows' Balanced plan with the power mode set to "Performance". I tried all the custom Ryzen plans and noticed worst performance.
