AMD Integrated GPU Driver Crash

Hello everyone!

I’ve been experiencing weird crashes since the January, 12th. They also happened on Jan 22 and Jan 28. Basically, at all those occasions I was playing ArcheAge, it could be 7 hours in-game or merely 1 hour, doesn’t matter, and then the game would crash (the screen becomes white, then black), my laptop would reboot and my GPU drivers would get uninstalled upon rebooting (I couldn’t even set the screen refresh rate until I installed them again).

There was always no overheating as the crashes occurred sporadically, during quite idle moments in the game. What is even weirder, the driver crashing is the integrated GPU one (AMD Radeon 660M), while I run the game on NVidia RTX 4060 Laptop.

It’s worth noting that each time this happened I had to reinstall the NVidia drivers as well, since my laptop wouldn’t even detect the dedicated GPU. While browsing or playing other games, I haven’t detected this issue. My laptop is quite new, I bought it last October.

Event viewer says “ Display driver amdwddmg stopped responding and has successfully recovered”. Reinstalling the AMD VGA driver didn’t help. Today I disabled AMD Crash Defender and External Events in hopes that it’ll help.

I wonder if the issue is driver, hardware or game-related, since so far it has manifested only in one game and not very frequently. Two out of three times it happened after more than six hours of gameplay. Nothing is overclocked. My CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS.

Maybe somebody here can give me any suggestions on the cause of the issue? Thanks!
