If you are on Windows 10, downloading and running this registry edit will stop Windows update from replacing your drivers:

You can view the file in the notepad to verify that it is safe and only inserts five instructions into the registry to not update drivers. It also comes with the reverse file so you can undo it. Export a copy of your registry from regedit before you run the edit.
I had these registry changes for most of 2022 and 2023 and they allowed me to stay on 22.11.2, which worked fine. Then unfortunately, the registry was changed during a Windows update and it started replacing my drivers with a 23 version that worked poorly. After that everything spiralled out of control and I have had to take out my 6900 XT and order a different card.
