AMD A6-7480 Ubuntu Driver
Hi, i would want to know if there's a Official Propretiary driver for my pc
Here is my PC hardware probe: https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=57f0c24236
Here is my Desktop PC specs:
Motherboard: GA-F2A68HM-S1 rev 1.1 with 2018 BIOS
CPU: AMD A6-7480 2c 2t 3.50Ghz Base clock 3.7Ghz Turbo Clock (it should be 3.8Ghz on official amd website but my pc only reach 3.7Ghz)
GPU: AMD R5 Graphics Integrated (Linux Recognized this as ATI Carrizo)
RAM: Kingston DDR3 1600Mhz 1pc of 4GB (Single Channel)
Monitor: LG HD 18.5' 1366x768 max resolution
Storage Device: Seagate Barracuda 500Gb 7200RPM
PS: booting latest linux distros as Pop!_OS, 21.04, Ubuntu 21.04, and so on nothing happens, 5.11 kernels too, only 5.8 and newer just never boots
and other linux distros as Zorin 15.3 boots but its using LLVMpipe GPU driver which is kinda bad for gaming (i don't have nomodset grub flag on btw)
tried oibaf drivers but still no luck, Proof under of this message, Thanks in advanced..

Official AMD Download page has no Linux drivers for the A6-7480 (https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-a-series-processors/amd-a6-series-apu-for-desktops/a6-7480-radeon-r5-.... Only for Windows drivers. Plus that APU is now considered to be "Legacy" or not supported by AMD Driver updates anymore. The last Windows driver is from June 2021.
So you will need to find drivers from Linux websites. One good linux website is Phoronix.com. I would open a thread there and see if anyone has a newer Linux driver for your processor.
